What is our deepest aspiration?

 

 

Of course as you know, we are multifaceted!

 

We combine many different drives

 

One of the strongest, namely, sex, isn’t even present until puberty!

 

Is our deepest aspiration unity?!

 

Is it to make a difference?!

 

in a sense, our deepest aspiration, will be a reflection of the deepest part of our soul!

 

Now before we go there, we must understand, the Rebbe teaches, we only truly feel fulfilled if we, well, fulfill our potential!

 

For this reason, he mentions, it is foolish for women to limit how many children they can have, for a person’s greatest fulfillment, comes, from their greatest accomplishment!

 

Now we would have to ask, if we were God, what could possibly be our deepest aspiration?!

 

Of course, as our sages teach us, God has no needs; which doesn’t mean he has no desires – only his desires aren’t out of need – rather, a choice to desire! and that is a. Love . and b. Kindness!
