What is meant when we say someone is delusional?

Freud said, we can learn from crazy people a lot about ourselves, because as one psychologist explains “craziness is only F.I.D.; frequency, intensity and duration,” so do we all not get nervous sometimes, do we all not get delusional sometimes? but if its frequency intensity and duration say are permanent, there is a problem! so when we say delusional people, as we have been writing about, there is a great saying I heard from a friend of mine which I think describes it best (and scarily may be more in us than we care to realize) we all know that Amsterdam was a place, that they were unlike most Europeans, kind not cruel to the Jew during the holocaust – why? – in Amsterdam they have a saying, it goes like this, “we have to be sane!” – and how do they define sanity? “knowing that another person exists!” – so when we say people become delusional, either from inferiority or superiority complexes, this is a precise analogue as to the term delusional, it means that instead of realizing that other people exist, their opinions have equal validity to yours (at least in their perception) that we all are chosen by God, for some kind of purpose! delusional people think, only THEY exist! their purpose supersedes everyone else’s!
