In the end of the day, as we are God’s children, God – including our need for him, both religiously and spiritually and materially – is only about us, not about him!
In the words of Chassidus, the goal of life is making your thoughts, ideas, opinions, stronger then your instincts, impulses etc.
However there is a serious virus in our system that manifests as soon as we do good – its called the ego – our innate desire for supremacy attaches itself to anything we assume makes us better than..!
In order to overcome this, we need to not be the sole abitrare of our goodness, rather base our goodness on our mashpia (spiritual Chassidic mentor) for it is impossible to believe that YOU are the great one, if the idea and decision came from ANOTHER!
