What happens to people growing up in an unethical evil society where people don’t follow laws, where people steal con etc.

Intrinsically man is moral – we see that children are naturally truthful so a dual reality gets presented, almost a schizophrenia in the child or human growing up in the said society.
On one hand, he strives to emulate the “cool” people as all societies have the role-models and the primary behavioral determinant of a human is their role models; yet deep down they are aware as I am sure Nazis must have been, that their behavior is immoral, reprehensible, and evil.
