Well a new study has an important lesson

A new study by University of Gothenburg researcher Sara Thomee explained that we are too wired.

Effectively there are two problems

a. we cannot do everything, so overspending time on internet, games etc. will limit time on other things, hence people lose sleep, goals, etc. etc.

2. We feel too obligated

Once upon a time if you didn’t write back after 3 months, the other party would worry

Today people expect replies almost as soon as you send them

So we feel guilty

One of the best things that ever happened to me was losing my cell phone

I felt this freedom from the being obligated to everyone – especially people I didn’t want to hear from (not you of course) – all the time.

So my recommendation is as follows:

As someone – a psychologist – once told me, “technology is a convenience, I decide if it is convenient for me to use it now or not” – don’t let your emotions destroy your life! – you can do it! – you don’t have to answer the phone and email every time it rings! – no one will die if you don’t!!!
