We now have the luxury of looking back, over 5,000 years of civilization and 3,300 years of Divine civilization – what we can say about both in hindsight, is the most compelling truth! – Firstly, regarding civilization – There are obviously two types of groups of people – those who have or don’t have civility – This is exclusively dependent on the belief system, hence the vast differences between how Africans, Arabs, Christan countries, Hindu, Buddhist, moderate Islamic countries, behave – The more compelling fact is, the Divine civilization – You see, the Divine civility is very different to what people imagine it to be – in this week’s Torah portion, an ideal example is given – For God comes to the Jewish people, ostensibly to give them the land of Israel – the Jews send spies – the spies give a bad report – the Jews cry – Mosses tells them, “God is angered and they will die in the desert” – but then what’s interesting, a group of Jews from the tribe of Efraim decide to do what God ostensibly wants – and they get slaughtered! – So in the original plan: Did God want or not want them to go into the land?! – The answer according to Kabbalah, is, simple – Man never ever ever knows what God wants! – All he is instructed to do – LISTEN! – Now “Listen!” doesn’t mean, to, what YOU THINK or HAVE HEARD; rather, What God Is Saying!! – and the way to hear, is to listen to the Rebbe of the generation – as it says “In every generation, I will give you a leader like Mosses!” – in other words, Even The Rebbe; Even Mosses, Have No Idea What God Wants! – They Can Only Tell You, What God Is Telling You To Do Now..
