We look back with sort of scorn at the backwardness of people in the olden days – in fact when my daughter was young, she would say to me (though to some extent I think the children of today must believe it based on the newer technologies) so, “Tatty in the olden days… what happened” (meaning in my life) But this is based on the perception that their perceptions were unfounded… – but what if yours are…? (which doesn’t preclude, in fact stands to reason, that both are/were)
