We chase money as if it is significant, but as the Rabbi of the Riviera of Africa (Plettenberg Bay) and my community included many many millionaires and billionaires, who I was personally close to – money is a fool’s paradise – as one of them whose name I won’t mention said to another, who was praising his accomplishments – “It wasn’t worth it, the kids just fight over the money” – this is not to criticizes money – the Rebbe wishes, we should all be very wealthy and do whatever we can towards attaining wealth but for the purpose of giving more charity! – so only by putting giving not getting in our gps, can we live a wholesome, beautiful, fulfilling and purposeful life!
