We cannot hate another unless we hate ourselves (so never take hate personally – in fact it should evoke great pity, for can there be a worse circumstance that a person who has been taught to hate themselves – for when a person is depressed, they have internalized shame, but when they are abusive, they have been abused, namely, been made to believe they are seen by good people as evil)
