We can be too calm (“oh’ hitler isn’t so bad” – which is how the holocaust happened – as the nations that just twenty years earlier lost millions to the sadistic Germans didn’t want to deal with the new menace) we can be too anxious (“everyone is crooks!” – as King David said “I said in my haste (the need to self-protect and anger, coupled with resentment/jealousy) all people are conmen”) however the flipside is that when we can have faith, coupled with a self-induced anxiety (namely, “why hasn’t Moshiach already come!!!!”) we marry the benefit of calmness and purpose
