We are not normal – normal of course is rational – but what if our very rationality is based on false assumptions – imagine a person born into darkness – s/he would develop a sophisticated library for all the people “how to navigate your world” – tomes of literature on making life easier, better – but then along comes someone and says “guys the world is light, you don’t need all your literature” – “you crazy meshugener!” claim the dark people – “without our thousands of years of experience, life cannot be lived!” – and summarily he switches on a light – and they realize, thousands of years was wasted, because they didn’t know the light switch!
