We are currently 5,000 years of civilization (this is based on anthropology) so what has 5,000 years of human kind taught? – that we humans exactly as Kabbalah teaches are composites – we are like a multi-tiered building, in the dungeon – in fact, the very foundation of the home is a fire breathing dragon – the ego – obsessed with one thing, “I” = getting my-way – it doesn’t care about the truth – ironically, it even doesn’t care about what’s in my own personal pleasure or conversely reducing-pain benefit – it only cares about being right! being on top! and never on the bottom! – fortunately, as we go through the terrible twos, the ego is put in its place – to learn it is not a master but servant, not the king but the peasant – Then there is the body – like all animals it is instinctual – it desires whatever instinctually will feel good and it fears whatever will give it pain- now love and fear are opposites and when in the state of fear – in other words, as Kabbalah teaches, there is knowledge of something fearful, which one feels one can avoid and then there is actual pain, anxiety, stress, which is when one feels something bad will happen to them – so when in this state, the mind focuses exclusively on how to get rid of the terrifying, terrorizing (even if it is subconscious, but the mind is preoccupied, which is why people under trauma and post-trauma like PTSD seem to be somewhat distant, as their mind is trying to gain security – control over the situation) so when under fear, the joy part of our lives shuts down (as we are biologically hardwired to survive first) Then there is the mind – just like joy cannot exist in fear, so to the mind cannot think in fear – This is why in fact, little children are geniuses and learn so much, for their environment (hopefully) is secure; however, once people become the victim of cruelty and as people being its source are everywhere, the person learns to become a fighter and no longer a thinker – ironically this is the great divide between secure (mainly western countries) and insecure third world countries (etc.) For whereas in the western countries the security allows people the ability to contemplate, they basically (as we see empirically) vacillate between sex and delusions – not to say they don’t have compassion but they certainly have no common-sense – However the flip-side is, living in fear, a person begins to become jealous of people who don’t live in fear, hence the tremendous amount of hatred against Jews and Americans for those living in hell, wish for everyone else to live in hell, as they feel it isn’t fair (which is true, at least to them) that you should live in heaven while they live in hell – the upshot is, that there is a God and ultimately everything that happens, both globally and personally is a step in the right direction – for once a person learns the lesson of fear, certainly learns the lessons of humiliation (such as Jews going through exile – and the west, being repulsed by its world wars etc. which perhaps is also happening to the Arabs today) then and only then are they capable of acting not impulsively but with forethought
