We are all the same

The truth is, once we understand this, we understand just about everything!

Democracy, certainly American democracy, has the notion, that all people are the same; which is not true; all people are unique; However, there are certain fundamental principles which are the same in all people.

And in Kleinian psychology, which mirrors Kabbalah in a respect, this is what it is:

When a person is happy, they are open towards other people, when a person is sad, they become jealous of other people’s happiness!

This is the core reason behind evil.

So hence, as in Kleinian therapy and in Judaism, the emphasis in life, is on gratitude to God for the blessings we have!

Because, the funny thing about sadness, that it too is a perception!

As we mentioned yesterday, we find very poor blacks in Africa are very happy, because their expectations of reality, are not out of alignment with their reality.

So even sadness is not a truth, it is a perception of how you think your reality should be, and then sadness creeps in, when it’s not.

On the other hand, when we continuously thank-God for every breath we take (after all, who creates the oxygen in the air, never mind the air itself?!) for every bit of food we take (for food too is a miracle!) for every positive thing in our life (particularly, as we wake up, for this sets the tone for the day!) then we see a reality, which is good, hence we are happy!

In fact, according to the Kabbalists, anger is in truth like idolatry, for when we get angry, we are in essence saying, God doesn’t run this world – when we remind ourselves, that YES He Does! and though I don’t understand, but obviously, if God did it, it has a deeper meaningful purpose, as God is only here to help us grow…
