We all know that God made the world, the thing that we find so difficult to understand, is how does a good God make bad?! But the truth is, that in the very beginning of creation, God said that He made light and darkness, now this was not obviously the physical light and darkness, because that was made on the fourth day – rather as the most important commentator Rashi explains, light are the deeds of the righteous, darkness are the deeds of the wicked – we also know that God says: See I have placed before you good and evil, life and death, Choose Life! – in other words, the loving God wishes to give you free choice – Choose Well! For you only get one chance!
