Until this very moment, a deep fundamental Kabbalistic concept has eluded me – Kabbalah often speaks about sparks of God that shattered (though intentionally) from the primordial world of Tohu which must be redeemed – a concept which encompasses all of the Jew’s life and journey – as when, say we say a blessing, we elevate these sparks – but what exactly are these sparks? – what it means is simple – you see, as the Alter Rebbe teaches, that everything that exists is (generally) kelipa – in other words, matter – all matter as we know from science is a living entity – these souls are trapped in the physical matter – and when a Jew (or any fine person) uses this item for a spiritual purpose, be it, says a blessing, or perhaps simply using a language to say a kind word, so the sparks that are the very fabric of that, say apple or language, then are taken from the dark to light – in fact, we can see this empirically (all you need to do, is google emoto)
