Understanding why people go bezerk

Jung said we must understand ourselves, for we are the only ones who can self destruct.

What is it in people that can cause as Prime Minsiter Netanyahu says “antisemitism = the oldest disease.

In each and every person lies three independent operating system

The first is our ego – our sense of self – generally speaking, this can be either good or bad (positive or negative, though ironically it can be good in a good way, namely, we have a sense that we are good; and it can be “good” in a bad way, namely that “we are the best.”)

Then we have our emotions – heart, which fundemtnally is that we are attracted to things which cause us pleasure and we retract (or become phobic or neorotic) from things that cause us pain/suffering (including shame, hence perfectionism – and of-course anxiety, becoming a source for percieving negativity, which creates self nightmarish fulfiling loop.)

It should be mentioned, not all our emotions are purely selfish, they can also be (and Jews excel in this) compassion, mercy, idealism, seeking truth etc.

Finally, we have our mind, where our truest, thinking, wise, and Divine self lies – of course this is why (unlike animals) human beings are in permanent conflict (as the body’s emotions and the mind’s rationality are never equal – and nor should they be, for fire (as in a car) drives us, while our choices (as the driver of a car) guides.)
