Understanding the body and soul of Judaism
By zevi770 · May 27, 2013
A body is defined, two eyes, one nose, two hands, two feet, every single part of the body is exactly in a shape necessary for its function; form is for function, for inherently a body is a tool for the soul’s expression within the time-space limited universe; hence it needs to be able to think, talk, walk, eat etc. etc.
The soul on the other hand, has no limits, is there a limit of love, is there a limit on justice, is there a limit on compassion? so we must understand, that body and soul compliment each other! the soul’s light grows through connecting to the light of Judaism; through studying more Chassidus, as the famous saying, three things work, alcohol money and Chassidus! alcohol will make you drunk, and if you had and you’re not drunk have more; money will make you crazy, and if you have and you’re not crazy, have more; and Chassidus will enlighten your soul; and if you have and your not enlightened, have more!!
