Understanding God!
By zevi770 · December 4, 2012
Who am I to say I understand God; but I have studied a lot; actually not a lot : ), but the succinct statements of our holy Rebbes who studied everything in Judaism, Kabbalah, etc. and hence this is the key thing we need to understand, to understand God!
Perhaps the Rebbe emphasized this point, in the last four years of his talks, not expropotionatly but disproportionally times 10, many many times!
People figure – using the basis of their own intelligence, as the paradigm from which to extrapolate, hence conjure reality; that God, is infinite!
This is a great mistake.
As we know, Chassidus teaches us that the infinite and the finite are equidistance from God!
Again, that which is infinite is just as finite to God as that which is say a finite rock!
God is the creator of both infinity and of finite!
But the reason I am blogging this, is because thank God I got a eureka-flash of inspiration.
See, this, – in fact the Rebbe gave this example – a computer, has two opposing abilities, it is on one hand a distinct object, yet it contains all the information within.
Think googles computers; that literally contain the entire internet on them; categorized, indexed etc. etc. (which is how they answer your questions) now think this:
There is a being that is not the information that comes from Him, yet contains ALL the information! This being, is loving, kind, compassionate and has every positive quality we know and those we don’t!!!
