Understanding God

How would you marry infinity in a finite container?

Say you have a wallet, but you have to put an infinite amount of money in it, what would you do?

Now remember, an infinite in a finite, means there must be a starting point.

Even a googilian is no difference then starting at one.

So when uniting an infinite in a finite, it is never the amount that counts, rather if you are growing that amount exponentially all the time!

We are finite containers.

God is infinite.

The way you unite an infinite God, in a finite container, is actually quite simple.

Imagine the wallet example – as the wallet cannot hold more than say one note at a time, the only way to do it would be to give someone today a one dollar bill, tomorrow a two dollar bill, the next day a five, the next day a ten, the next day a twenty, ad infinitum.

Similarly, God too can give himself to us through his information, the Torah, which contains Him, as it is written in the very first word of giving of the Torah, Anoichi which means (an acronym) “I myself am written in this.”

But if God is infinite, it means that it must always grow!

Now if your wallet could only hold a single note (or even a few) and every day you were to get a new one, the only way you could have space for the new one, would be if you emptied your wallet of the old one.

This is the difficulty; for the truth is, the Torah is actually growing!

Although we may be more distant from Matan Torah, hence halachickly we are feeble minded people, but as we are closer to Moshiach, Kabbalistickly, specifically Chassidilisticly, we are at the peak of the revelation of this wisdom – for this is the wisdom that will be studied indefinitely, as we know that from the time of the Baal Shem Tov, with his Torah, the rays of Moshiach began to be brought into this world!

The only precondition to always learning more, is you got to be ready to empty your wallet.
