Ultimately our greatest desire is our greatest undoing, for we desire to be a somebody and then we defend the imaginary somebody or whoever ever greater (based on whatever our mind can fathom, so not only am I a regular somebody, but I am a reporter, government official etc. etc.) but being a somebody, is really being a nobody, for what it really means, is you are locked into a “identity,” an image of who you are, like a person who has sown a mask onto his face!! – in truth, we must be like robots – being able to shift – fulfilling whatever God: goodness and kindness calls upon us
