Today’s Miracle

Today is Yud Alef Nissan, the 11th of Nissan, the Rebbe’s birthday!
There has never been, nor ever will be, a more significant day in the calendar of humanity than the 11th of Nissan.
Because the month of Nissan is known as the month of miracles. As our sages teach us, that when God created the world he decided that the first day would be Rosh Hashanah, seven months later; but in fact the real purpose of the world was the first day of Nissan, the month of miracles.
Many people wonder how is there such an incredible miracle as the Jewish people.
There was German professor studying the rise and fall of Nations and as he got to the Jewish people he threw out his entire work – The Jewish people defy any logical ability, for a people scattered for thousands of years yet reborn from the ashes of the holocaust – one of many holocausts – murdering a third of her people for no other reason then being “a light onto the nations” and yet it witnessed the collapse of those massive empires intent on its destruction and it carried on humble yet carrying that light.
So numbers in Kabbalah are everything – they form the very fabric of reality – as we know, numbers in Hebrew are also letters and letters are that which creates – letters carry the energy of God, bringing matter into existence.
So the letter 10 represents the tens sayings, the letters that create the world – these 10 sayings are connected to the 10 Commandments – which is why the Kabbalah teaches God created the world in 10 sayings and when the Jewish people study the 10 Commandments, the energy from thier study gives the energy to the continued creation of the universe.
Kabbalah teaches us that for everything positive God created a negative. A counterpart for everything, such as for pious wisdom there is foolish wisdom, the wisdom of say how to get a foolish desire versus a wise desire; for wise passion it was foolish passion; for wise discipline there is foolish anger; but there is one level that there is no corresponding foolishness and this is the level of God himself.
God himself.
For there is nothing that can compare in any way shape or form to the pureness, the holiness, the goodness, the unlimited kindness of God.
And as our sages teach us, that Tzaddikinm the rightous – God’sspecial chosen shepherds, who Shepherd both the faith and the people: the faith of the people and the people of faith – They are similar to their Creator.
The Rebbe had a unique contrast, as former Prime Minister Menachem Begin who visited the Rebie said – “he knows Israel better than I do and yet his belief in God is like a Jewish grandmother’s.”
This synthesis of absolute humility with absolute pragmaticism – absolute compassion with absolute genius – absolute kindness with absolute resolve – absolute conviction with absolute sensitivity – absolute understanding and absolute humility is the true nature of God.
Humility is the true nature of God.
For God is not beyond us, He is in fact within us, he exists to give us existence, and he is available to give us guidance.
And this is the messianic era which the Rebbe, the Messiah of our generation, as we know every generation has a Moses, a general soul to guide the people, guides and empowers us to create our own redemption – to bring God into our lives – for it was in fact the Rebbe, a precious few months before God robbed him of his speech that he said “Today each of us must realize that we too are Rebbes.”
