Today I had the privilege of manning a Mivtzoyim booth – in other words, we were in a flea market and had a Jewish booth – so a foreigner approaches and began to ask me, what it’s about, so I tell him Judaism – turns out he is a seemingly sweet Muslim, but obviously with a lot of propaganda in his head about Israel etc. so I asked him, “why did God put us in this world?” so he said “most people don’t know, but it’s to help others,” to which I agreed; so he started telling me how I am discriminating, to which I told him the (blog) that I heard from Rabbi Rodal that if we are criticizing someone constructively, it’s a good thing, but how is he helping me by just demeaning me by telling me that I am discriminatory? but he was pretty adamant that I am discriminatory, so to close the conversation, I asked him, if he loved or hated me, so he said,” he doesn’t hate me but he doesn’t love me because I am discriminatory” so I told him the truth “I love you” which he appreciated and walked away somewhat mollified.
