To paraphrase everything, we have two diametrically opposed desires in us – the first is sensitivity, compassion, caring, identification; the other is the desire which we do not acknowledge (but you’ll see soon) to demean, rape, be superior, to even murder – the former is God, which is our soul; the latter is the challenge God gives us called the satan which is not necessarily our body, but the satan produces these instincts (for example, why is it that men enjoy sex? as one great wise Rabbi writes, there is a desire to demean women (which doesn’t mean intimacy cannot be the holiest act, see "Kabbalah on marital intimacy" but it can go both ways) Now as psychology teaches, the lower a person’s esteem and hence jealousy of others, the more they will try to rape (for rape is actually not a desire for sex, rather a desire to demean) the same is true of child-abuse – and the same is true on a global scale – this is why the Arabs who have such terrible esteem, wish to destroy the world, as we see by their terrorism against people who do them no harm- this is what antisemites are a gang of low self-esteem people)
