To paraphrase an obvious though somewhat obscure, a reality though highly unintuitive paradigm

Each one us exists in an independent bubble

 

However all of our bubbles interact

 

By lighting up my bubble, I bring light to ours; and as the reality that all people are connected by six (in other words, everyone on our globe is only six people, so a friends friend etc. to six) from each other; so if my light is continuous than the world’s light is continuous
