To My Jewish Brothers And Sisters

For four thousand years our family has had a ripple effect.

Beginning with our great great grandfather Abraham and great great grandmother Sarah who introduced civility into a barbaric world, who introduced morality into an evil dog-eat-dog world, who introduced love into a fear based zero sum game world; we have continued his tradition.

He have and are persecuted for one reason only – it’s not my big nose which I think is rather cute – in fact, all the lies, blood-libels, myths, were excuses to justify this reason – jealousy.

As our great master the Baal Shem Tov would often cry, teaching: “when one carries inexpensive trinkets he is not attached; but s/he carrying diamonds and precious gems is often maliciously, violently attacked!”

It is those jealous of love – for they both did not receive and probably received the opposite, from their both loveless and negative societies – that caused so much (just like bullying) violence against our compassionate hearts.

But ultimately we won.

For now, to most of the world, compassion and not resorting to violence is as basic as the lands we walk on – the tolerance of democracy spread even to the communist empire – more and more, we see people abandoning the fruitless aimless existence of materialistic grandiosity for the search of the meaning and purpose of existence.

This was the goal all along.

We carried God’s flame in our hearts and for all those who wish to see – as a recent poll by Pew found, the most respected religion (and perhaps group) in America, is Judaism.
