To define ourselves is to understand who we are, what we are meant to do what God desires of us, but if we don’t then the Yetzer Hara will succeed in lowering our self-image to that of an animal with a false definition, ignoring our Godliness, hence allowing us to descend into the worst scenario possible – just look at modern culture.
