Time

We have a very interesting association to time

We think that time is an eternal thing

Like there is some kind of universal clock, that keeps on ticking

Whether, that’s true or not, as Einstein’s theory of relativity basically teaches, time is relative

What he meant by that, is, that time is relative to our experience of it

So the fact that we see time as an eternal thing, is – whether it’s true or not – how we experience time

The reason we experience time in this way – is because day turns to night, night turns to day, like clockwork

But the truth is, the most accurate description of time is a timer

Time is not eternal – at least relatively speaking, which is our genuine experience of it –

Time is, like you set a timer

When we are born, as the Talmud teaches, our timer is set!
