Three things are true, a critical person is not somebody that cares about truth – rather they care about the fact that others don’t feel the same fear to be perfect that they do – on the flip side an uncritical person is naive – and finally we have to make a distinction between the fact that on one hand I have to be my best self – on the other hand, to the extent possible, I have to accept normal people, no matter what their mistakes are – and try to help them grow
