Though obviously I disagree with Christianity’s version of God, there is something that I envy in it

When God revealed himself to the Jews at Mount Sinai, he specifically told them, not to make any images of God, “nor have you seen an image.”

Jews have this obsession with a non-imaged God.

The ancient Romans, called Jews, atheists; for they couldn’t conceive of a formless God.

The truth is, it is very convenient to have a bodied God.

It just makes life a lot easier to believe in something that has defined dimensions.

Though of course, God obviously is the Creator, not limited in any way, shape, or, no pun intended, to a form.

However we must realize as Chassidus teaches – as I heard from Rabbi Kesselman – “God is a being, without being; which exists.”

Pretty hard to grasp.

But there are things I think that give us a picture, hence through extrapolation, we can truly “see” God.

What is a being, without being; which exists? In fact You and I! – we are obviously souls – our souls obviously are not our bodies – so imagine a soul disembodied; it would be a being, without being; which exists!

Perhaps in our physical world, the closest we can relate to, is a thought.

A thought is, a being without being, which exists.
