This universe serves really exclusively three functions- 1. Where man can develop into a human – in other words, noble, kind, generous, compassionate, giving, loving, while simultaneously 2. Where God receives joy – for no one does anything unless it is to produce some type of happiness – and God being all the above, receives a vicarious joy 3. As ultimately we too enjoy goodness kindness etc. hence though our growth is painful, nonetheless we appreciate, similar to as God does, our own goodness
