This past Shabbos God kindly endowed me with an incredible understanding namely the rosseta stone is to understand that by nature all of us have desires however these desires do not destroy us until they become expectations – a good example for this comes from the Rebbe who says “Two people have a delicious stake in front of them – one a very poor man who is starving and the other, a very rich man who isn’t – now you may be forgiven for thinking that the poor man desires the steak more than the rich, however what would happen if you suddenly took the steak away? – who would get angrier? – so imagining the poor man simply satisfied his hunger, he wouldn’t care” in other words, the rich man’s expectation, as all expectations (for physical things) is one’s undoing
