This isn’t to shock or to preach, it’s simply a psychological fact, unless we thank God for whatever comes our way, which we benefit from, we become miserable – for within us is a demon called ego – its missions is to delude us into thinking we are grand – whatever we get, it uses as part of the delusion – now though we all would love to think grandly of ourselves – nonetheless, the irony is, the grander we think of ourselves, the more we expect things to come our way – that’s why, it’s not the poor person who would get angry by mishaps, rather the arrogant, perhaps rich (if he’s not grateful or his riches) for then his assumption is – “because I am grand, things should happen my way” – in summary, it’s a simple absolute equation – the more we think of ourselves, the less tolerance we have for that which doesn’t go our way, and luckily the converse is also true.
