There’s a very false narrative in the conservative circles that everybody needs to work! G-d Himself and economists, if we can add that, say there will always be a percentage of the population, usually around 5% that can’t find jobs. It’s our job to see those that need help. And of course, if we can help them find a job that’s the greatest charity, but until they do, we have to support them.
