There is two simple absolutes – if a person loves you (which doesn’t mean they want something – rather feel that you are special, which comes from humility hence they see whats good in you) then they will no be cruel; however there are many people who themselves victims of negative regard – for when one person feels demeaned they become jealous of the other (who feels dignity and do all in their power to shame them – though consciously they create a narcissistic personality in which they believe they are god and hence they are the judge jury and executioner)
