There is no doubt that ultimately the purpose of religion is to improve – however the question is how? – the truth of the matter is that Judaism is not a religion, rather it is a mechanism, for unless a person subjugates their every desire! – for after all, desire and opportunity are our subconscious gps ( hence conscious justifications) to a loving God ( as apposed to say pagan cults of sacrificing thier children, mirrored in today’s Islamic jihadist " suicide bombings"
