There is a voice

There is a voice

A holy voice yet a soft voice

A loving voice yet a true voice

It is the voice of your Creator, your lover

This voice says:

I made you in my image

As I am loving, so are you

There is another voice

A compelling voice but a lying voice

A voice of exemplary adroitness and exemplary evil

It says:

You are like me – a serpent, sly, conniving – together we’ll destroy the world
