There are two reasons someone wishes to be rich – the first is due to a desire to have recognition which is normal, the other is one who has been abused has dissociated, hence his desire for affection having left him ( for we only desire the affection of those we admire) yet the ego’s sadism ( which is a subconscious unacknowledged desire) hence manifests
