There are three kinds of countries: the first let us call it the classic, which are ancient civilizations such as China, Russia, India etc. and these countries if they desire the respect as well as the investment – for the two coincide – for the Western countries respect goodness, righteousness, law, human rights, decency and fear doing business in countries that these values are trampled on – so quite simply, to gain respect one must respectfully, which practically, even though in the West we are too naive to understand, that the majority of countries need dictators – for democracy as we’ve seen in the Arab spring, can only settle in the minds and hearts of people that already obey the law, not in a "Man eat Man" society – however a dictatorship does not mean being evil – rather just means enforcing the law and of course there are those minor countries, many African for example, that are seeking help and again as we see so clearly with Zimbabwe – that the West likes to help, but they want to help those that are a. helping themselves, and b. are good, kind, decent, civil – nobody wants to be involved with a bully
