There are quite simply two sides, and we each get to choose whose side we are on: there is the side of humility – when a person is humble, they hold others (and ironically themselves as well) in high esteem, hence they respect others, hence unity, love, compassion and justice ensue – then there is the side of arrogance when a person – often delusionally – holds themselves in higher esteem then others (and often ironically mask their own feelings of inferiority through their delusion of grandeur ) when arrogance enters, the person treats others as enemies – seeing that they are entitled to everything, hence others are “stealing” their entitlements and when they treat others despicably, resentment, hate etc. etc. ensues
