there are only four motives – yes only four – the first motive is pleasure (think all of the things that are motivated by the pleasure outcome) then there is the motive called fear – fear is the exact opposite of pleasure – it is the motive to not encounter anything that will be painful (think of all of the things we do to not get hurt, shamed and there of course is even the fear of fear) there is idealism (think of everything people do for an idealistic reason) then there is hate (anything that is destructive, HOT)
