There are basically ten realities

Let’s go from Highest to lowest

The purest of the pure consciousness, God-Himself

Then there is the consciousness of the “nunie yama” “Souls from the sea” (not going into the exact Kabbalistic location) these were the most pristine souls ever: Mosses, Rabbi Shimoin Bar Yochai, The Lubavitcher Rebbes (perhaps the Ari-Hakodesh) as a fish in the sea, he and the water are not separate, his awareness of truth is his very essence.

Then there are the souls from Atzilus, The Patriarchs (perhaps matriarchs) the Seven Shepherds (this includes Josef, King David, Aharon) these souls, though being pristine, still are individuals; like the greatest mathematician, still must discover math – though he is predisposed to its integration, understanding and wisdom, nonetheless, it is essentially not him.

Then there are the rest of us, who are lower levels of these predilections towards truth, and each of us possess, a unique predisposition for a particular shade of the Divine truth (which is why for example, some people are more into charity, others Torah study etc.)

Then there are the angels – of supreme devotion to God, but their levels all depend on their instinctual program; some are intellectually driven (by understanding God’s greatness) others emotionally (love or awe) each possessing intellect beyond human ability; but unlike humans, their gifts are gifts; they never struggle, nor the corollary, do they achieve or have the unique ability to grow – to go beyond their current status, ever deeper into truths!

Then there is the various types of souls – some more lofty, some more coarse – those with empathy, compassion, heart, obviously are the higher end of the spectrum; yet this is still called the animal of man, for it is based on my emotion – it is not the transcendental part, that has raised itself beyond my instinctual – changed my predilections – overcome my narcissistic side.

Then there are the myriad souls of animals – who like angels are stuck in their preexisting status, their present instinctual predilections (mainly love or fears and the combination of nature and nurture.)

Then there is the soul in the vegetative world (I don’t have good clarity on this – some kind of growth factor.)

Then there is the inanimate, the physical objects that are lifeless.

And the lowest of all are the devils/demons, all an offshoot of satan, they are the negative desires like anger, revenge, ego etc. that are consciously implanted in man’s consciousness, for these demons receive nurture – literally their life depends on our sins – and God made them, for it is only in the ability to overcome and in the fight to overcome, that man achieves his true greatness!
