The world has two sets of seven shepherds, from Avroham to Mosheh is seven, and he was the seventh, and he was the one who transmitted to us the Torah, synthesizing the way of Avrohom Avinu into practical application in daily life; in a similar sense, Chassidus begins with – obviously the Baal Shem Tov – but the synthesis, the first practical beginnings start with the Alter Rebbe, but ultimately, as a way of life, synthesized by our Rebbe, which quite simply boils down to a few points: firstly obviously, trust in God, that’s the roots; then the study of and teaching of Judaism, and primarily Chassidus; and then ultimately the goal of it all, is for the tree to have fruits, that one Jew inseminates and educates and spreads the light to a fellow and that continues ad-infinitum!
