The world had to go through 5 stages. And if you know this, you know, history and destiny. The first actually is before creation itself, it is the desire for you to exist, much like a parent must desire the child before the technicalities of creating the child and the home and everything for the child begins. And of course, if one is truly infinite (unlimited) then the entire plan is created the instant of the desire. And then comes the creation – creation involves not only the time space physical universe, but it involves the development of our ego. The first 2000 years are called creation and chaos, just like the first 2 years of a child’s life, the child begins to develop a sense of independence, of desire, of pride and likewise shame, also pleasure (which correlates to pride) and pain (which correlates to shame / loss.) And then comes the next stage, much like the child then becomes educable, learning right from wrong. This is called the 2,000 years of Torah, where our behavior is aligned to basic decency, which is what the Torah is.But then comes the infinite stage, the stage of redemption of the individual. When she or he becomes aware that life must have a purpose. And in the deep darkness and in the cries, the howls, and the existential angst and suffering and pain, a glimmer, a light from the Original One comes and it initially feels and that there is a truth! We fall in love with G-d and we dance, we think that we have arrived. But then the floor falls, and all we have was the glimmer, and we’re back on earth. But in the struggle, like most married couples, we begin to learn that life is not being swept off our feet. Rather, life is where we begin to become a partner. And then the relationship has matured. We have matured, as the Baal She Tov says, "the pleasure does not come from beyond, it comes from within," and then we once again return to the essence of the light – in which we realize, we are not the only ones, everyone is part of the light. Everyone and everything chosen and the infinite one is connected to each.
