The whole truth and nothing but the truth

As I am listening to the Rebbe, you can listen on Therebbe.org

I am struck by a contrast

On one hand the Rebbe was a very humble person – his voice is perhaps the most mellow male voice that I know.

On the other hand, the only truth that exists – after having searched through all of philosophy, a lot of psychology etc. – is the Rebbe’s wisdom.

How can it be that the he who knows the most is also the humblest?

Perhaps this also can be asked of Mosses, who taught us the Torah, and at the same time was the humblest man – understand what that means – he was more humble than the drug addict who sees himself lying in his own…

How can absolute knowledge go with absolute humility?!?

But isn’t that the point?

When are we arrogant? precisely when we lack insight!

A little child, my father told me, in the name of the previous Rebbe is exceptionally arrogant for it is in fact the less someone knows (hence the temper tantrums etc.) the more they think they know.

In other words, truth leads to the reality of relativity and when you enter into relativity no one has a right to be arrogant.
