The way of God

What is God’s way?

Our sages teach us some fascinating stuff about God’s mannerism.

Of course we all know the verse we say when we take out the Torah Diracheha Darchy Noam the way of God is sweet.

In other words, the most succinct word to sum up God’s way is sweetness.

But practically, if you have a mission in life to transform the materiel world into a spiritual world…

How would you do it?

Would you do it sweetly?

The answer is that yes, if you are loving, kind, compassionate, than yes, you will do it sweetly.

No one was more determined than the Lubavitcher Rebbe yet at the same time, no one – except for the truly sensitive souls – was sweeter.

We often confuse power with crudeness, but power need not be crude, like a mother who loves her daughter, she educates sweetly.

In fact the Rebbe would often advise men to learn from the style of education of a mother, namely with sweetness.

So power and sweetness are not antonyms, rather they are actually two separate realities combined into one with God.

Practically how does God sweetly get us to transform this world into a holy place, the answer is how a sweet teacher teachers, step by step.
