The way God made us, boils down to the simplests of realities: on one hand we are exactly like an animal (heck we share 33 percent of our dna with a worm and 98 with a monkey) and animals know only a single thing, "me, myself and I" – "does this contribute to my wellbeing or does this create danger / fear" – everything it does, it based on the seesaw – for if it feels like this will be pleasurable it will go for it, however if it feels it will be a danger it will be afraid – All human behavior on an instinctual level is exactly the same! – However we also have a Divine soul – we all wish for unity and harmony, for peace and love – so God gave a way to implement it – for as Freud gave the example, a person is like a horse and a rider – a horse will naturally go wherever horses desire (pasture etc.) however the rider has a whip – the only way we can fulfill our soul, overcoming the laziness and addictions of our body, is by whipping our horse – the way we whip our horse is by using our mind – The way God made us, our mind has the power to alter our behavior – Now this doesn’t mean the horse wishes to change, it never will wish to change, however it does become more and more obedient – So if you wish to do good, you need to know that you have the power to whip your horse, which practically means, you have to order yourself – Be your own dictator – if you need to, even shout at yourself, for that whips (unless you are psychopath and have lost touch with yourself, and your soul is like lying dead and the horse is just running wild) will always be stronger than the laziness or addictions
