The three stages of life

Our sages teach us that everything God does he does in stages
Stage number one is the dream
Stage number two are the action steps that result in the fulfillment of the dream
Stage number three is the redemption, the new reality which is the completion of the action steps resulting in a dream fulfilled
Essentially God had a dream, to unite two opposites, us and him in an infinite bond
This is very much like a relationship
Two different separate entities become unified in an infinite union
And to achieve this God has action steps beginning with creation, giving us his Torah, sending us into exile where sick of the meaninglessness experienced in the gentile lands, our fondest wish is only to receive this wisdom.
As our Sages state, ten world hungers would come to mankind, nine for food, the tenth for God’s wisdom
The coming of the Moshiach, a stage begun in 1990 when the Rebbe’s teachings reached a fundamental shift by merging both the highest wisdom to become comprehendible within human intellect, marks the beginning of the third redemptive stage when mans puny mind through unity with God’s infinite one, can see a vision only God could have dreamed.
