The ten absolutes

Absolute number one God

absolute number two, as Maimonides says, God’s existence is the only true existence, as nothing predates his.

absolute number three, our existence is based on the principle of concealment – because we do not realize that everything is really God (for he is the only “substance” from which all is formed) therefore to paraphrase Einstein “reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one” (for example, as Kabbalah and quantum-mechanics teach, every moment, all the energy in every atom (which of-course is the substance of matter disappears and then reappears.)

absolute number four, anything that exists in our perception is because God chose for it to exist.

absolute number five – there are three dimensions God chose, the most sublime is described as holiness, which is all the positive commandments in the Torah – the next is mundane, which is neither positive nor necessarily evil, the third is all the negative (what the Torah prohibits and as the Rebbe says, the Torah is summarized as goodness and kindness, so the neutral would be, neither good nor bad, and the evil would be that which is as Hillel said “something you won’t want another to do to you.”)

Absolute number six, it is obvious that in essence we are our perception (the very ability to perceive, which then concocts the notion that we exist, that other things exist; and as Jewish mysticism teaches, God chose that we should perceive our existence as real, and his and heavens as amorphous.)

Absolute number seven – the purpose of all of this is out of God’s infinite love he decided to give us an infinite gift, the ability to grow (which means to get beyond evil.)

Absolute number eight – any person imprisoned doesn’t hold the keys to their freedom

Absolute number nine, God enables us to rise beyond our selfish instincts if this is what we desire

Absolute number ten, it    is not reality rather desire that formulates reality
