The seven layered human

Imagine a seven layered cake

 

Well we also have seven layers

 

Our top layer which really is the essence of all, is God

 

Our next layer is the Godly soul’s instincts – goodness, kindness, compassion

 

The next layer is our mind – animals do not have independent minds – the ability to be curious, the ability to seek truth, the ability to not be satisfied by living in a lie

 

The next layer is ego – the ego is completely brain-dead – it has a single drive “Be The Best!” and when it thinks it is the best “Get Your Way” and when it thinks it is the best hence deserves to get its way “Destroy Anyone That Stands In Your Way.”

 

The ego also has a dark-side (if that wasn’t bad enough) for it becomes jealous when it feels it isn’t fair – so when you believe you are on the same socio (status) level of someone else, then if they have something that you cannot have, you must take it away! (now the ego also wants you to be the best – so it tells you, not that you are jealous but that person is evil! – hence gives you permission to demean, rape, steal, all really mechanisms of destruction.)

 

Then there is the emotional side located in the heart – this has two drives: the first is what will give me pleasure (addiction is a good example – again, because these desires percolate to the mind, if your desire say for a substance is stronger than your desire against it, the mind will rationalize it, which is why addicts only change if they hit rock-bottom, for then their desire changes.)

 

And finally there is fear, fear is the desire to be safe – so many times people are pretending to be o.k. (because they are afraid of shame.)
