The recipe for Happiness – why is it that kids are happy? – why is that most adults aren’t? – it would seem, happiness has no correlation to what you have – you see, happiness depends on three things – a. Love – in order to be happy you must perceive you are loved (for after all, we are social creatures – this is why G0d made it, we are born from, into and a recipient of (hopefully) much love – I also believe, this is why Jews are successful (having been loved, they have confidence, instead of insecurity; (for when fear enters, our primary state is not happiness, but prevention of what we fear) b. you must be humble (once again, this is why children are happy, for as our expectations rise – which itself is a delusion – for no-one is entitled (which means not, that you shouldn’t be protected; but intrinsically, you are no different to any worm or piece of dust) so by not expecting (the corollary of entitlement) you are satisfied (with everything – the thing is, it is not easy to not feel entitled – for by nature, whatever good we get, instead of saying thank-you to man/God, we assume it is due to our greatness – as within us all is an ego – the ego is certain, we are the most entitled being! – and as I say, “nothing is more catastrophic to the mind as the mix between fantasy and possibility” – in other words, as we begin to have “evidence” of our greatness, this fantasy turns into a “reality,” giving rise to narcissism, hence anger, hence jealousy, hence maliciousness) c. finally, to be happy you must also have meaningful purpose
